Wally's Cafe, a hole in the wall located in Emeryville, easily became one of my favorite spots to eat at. It is located behind/beside a bar, with a separate entrance down an alleyway. Customer service was amazing, super nice and welcoming staff. Served a delicious complimentary lentil soup upon arrival and from that point on, I knew that no matter what I ordered from the menu, it would be delicious. I was right. I got to dibble and dabble into my brother and his girlfriend's choices which also didn't disappoint. Portion of the plates were unbelievable. I personally got the chicken shawarma plate and it was incredible, along with the tzatziki and garlic sauce. To top it off in the end of all the greatness comes the homemade baklava. And I'm speechless. SO GOOD. Highly recommend Wally's Cafe. Can't wait to eat here again.

This place gave such a homely vibe and the owners were super nice and it felt like I was getting food at my uncles house . They start you off with a complimentary lentil soup. Pros: good quantity for food, very friendly staff Cons: it could be a little bit more clean Ambiance: 3.5/5 Taste: 4.5/5 Value: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Perfect crisp and light falafel, mind blowing lentil soup (I got to taste it while waiting for my order) superb. Get a big one to go, reheats perfectly. Don't let the little crack of an entrance fool you... the interior is ancient/old school lunch counter/diner (likely original) but spotlessly clean. Fresh ingredients stacked everywhere because the turn so much food. Top 3 best Mediterranean (especially falafel), worth seeking out without a doubt. Very very nice people too

Definitely some of the best mediterranean food I've had in the Bay area. The food is so fresh and everything is seasoned perfectly. It was also my first time have lentil soup and it made me like lentils (i'm usually not a fan). Tried quite a few items from their menu but what stood out to me was the beef and lamb gyro wrap! The gyro was so flavorful and the wrap was balanced in each bite. The garlic sauce that came with the combo plate was also soo delicious! I would recommend getting that in the side with whatever you order. The falafel was crispy and piping hot and perfectly seasoned too. And definitely best baklava I've had! This is THE definition of a hole-in-the-wall. So easy to miss! It seems to be connected to a bank of some sort. There is very minimal seating inside and outside but I hear this spot is popular for takeout. The lady who took our order was really nice. Overall really delicious spot!
